The lesson considers the key events taking place during Mary's early life.

The students will use reporting technique to present these events and to add to them the political bias that accompanied them.We suggest that classes interested in this period of Mary's life research it and add in some other events to the ones already highlighted.

Students will reflect on Mary's time at Stirling castle and her Coronation followed by The Rough wooing.

The Drama skills in this lesson allow for a physical approach to the topic with whole class configuration mime and whole class movement in addition to the reporting presentations.

The lesson also contains a powerful Contrasting Corridor Tableau Exercise.

In this way all students will be able to connect with Mary's story and it should provide for excellent follow-up descriptive  writing and reporting.
