Mary is taken to France to her family there. Students will consider her young life there, the event that occurred, her marriage to the Dauphin and the awesome responsibility that she was now also Queen of France.
Key Drama skills are narration and mime, storytelling in tableaux and a human family tree (this requires preparation and class research but the exercise itself is kept simple).
It is intended that students empathise with Mary as Royal duties begin to intensify for the young Queen and plotters and opportunists will begin to close the net.
