This powerful play is based on the famous Massacre of Glencoe and takes an impartial view based on the historical facts.
It is dark and dramatic and links to JACOBITE Projects.
The Clan MacDonald were Jacobites, loyal to King James, exiled in France. On the throne of Scotland and England is King William of Orange. In an attempt to bring the Highland Clans into line this shameful event in Scottish history was ordered to take place.
The key drama skills are narration, dialogue, mime and movement. The play comes with backing music and Moira Kerr's wonderful song I Am MacIain. Other tracks included and written for the piece are the McIain Overture, Women Of The Glen.

Characters - Around 25 parts with large groups scenes of Highlanders, soldiers.
